I have a co-worker trying to find the title (& author) of a supposedly
recent (maybe within the last 6 months) book in which the main character is
a Black musician; possibly a jazz musician (not sure about the jazz part).
The time period is World War II and the musician stays out of the
concentration camps because he(?) is such a "good" musician.
Ring any bells with anyone? I know it's not much to go on but it's all we
have. Thanks (very much) in advance.
