There is a nonfiction book by Robert Lacey titled, The Queen Mother's
century. It follows Elizabeth, the Queen Mother through the 20th century and
her life in England. Perhaps this is what you need.

There have been two recent biographies of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother
come out recently: one is "Queen Elizabeth : the Queen Mother, a twenthieth
century life" by Pavilion Books and the other is "Her Majesty, Queen
Elizabeth : the Queen Mother : woman of the century" published by MacMillan
Books (the English one).
