We get our display shelving from 7 Mile Fishcamp Enterprises in Florida.
Clem Malecki is the proprietor. 205 Boston Road, Edgewater, Florida 32032.
Telephone: (904) 423-1298 of 423-1692. Call him and he will send color
pictures. He installs the shelves himself. Don't know whether he will go
to Alaska, but he might ship them.
The shelves are made of acrylic and are designed to hold whatever you want -
newspapers, hardbacks, paperbacks, videos, books on tape, etc. You can get
them to bolt onto a wall, end of stack, or you can bolt several panels
together and have a free standing tower. They are really attractive and
show off the materials really well. They privide economical use of space.
Clem was a librarian couldn't find display shelving that he liked. Decided
to design some himself. He probably makes more money now than he did as a
librarian.
He looks like my mental image of the chief character in THe Bridges of
Madison County (not that I thought it was such a good book).

Subject: display shelving
I could use some help. I'm looking for some display shelving (open, not
glassed), and haven't found much selection thus far in Brodart catalogs,
etc. Any suggestions? Where did you get your display shelving for your
library? Did you resort to custom-built?
