I'm thinking about doing a program about the most important books of the
last hundred years, but need a lot of help in selecting titles. I will
probably try to keep the number down to ten. The only one I am really
sure of is "Gone With The Wind." I'll be doing this program the third
week in January -- after the millenium arrives. Any suggestions?

I always think of Truman Capote's In Cold Blood as having introduced a new
form in literature...and I'm already ducking for cover from the responses
that opinion might generate.

I was thinking along these lines too, of a book that changed the face of literature.
Capote's book is a great choice, and I would definitely include one of the first true
works of Young Adult literature for that reason: either The Chocolate War or The
Outsiders. You pick. :-)
