You might try to get copies of Barbara Moore's two books involving a
veterinarian. My local public library had a copy of "The Doberman Wore
Black" and I found "The Wolf Whispered Death" in the used bookstore.
Also, I really like Carol Lea Benjamin's 3 fiction books. She's written
non-fiction books too. I've read a lot of Gerald Hammond, but since he is
an gun advocate & hunts & fishes, many people who don't like hunting don't
like his books. But they portray dogs so realistically & wonderfully.
Vets in Mysteries
Gail McCarthy is a horse veterinarian in Santa Cruz, CA in a mystery series
by Laura Crum. The titles are: Cutter, Hoofprints, Roughstock, Roped,
Slickrock.
Marsha Landreth has a mystery series featuring Dr. Samantha Turner,
medical examiner in Sheridan, Wyoming. She lives on a ranch
and there was a lot referring to animals in her books.
More DOGS In Mysteries: these I haven't read.
