Subject: Mysteries set in India
A colleague is looking for mysteries set in India. I've suggested H.R.F.
Keating's Inspector Ghote series, Paul Mann's series, and Bombay Ice. I've
checked the Fiction-L archives but didn't come across any more. Are there
any suggestions out there?
Thanks in advance,

This is a stretch (perhaps) but Paul Scott's Raj Quartet centers around a
mystery of sorts.

Another relatively recent one - though it is more supernatural than a
classical mystery - is Pepita Seth's "The Spirit Land".
And just in passing, the Sherlock Holmes short story "The Speckled Band" has a
touch of India to it...
