Try "Death Comes As the End" by Agatha Christie, set in ancient Egypt.

memory that this has come up before, and have searched the archives, but only
found reference to Lynda Robinson and a couple of others. There doesn't appear
to be anything in the List of Lists, either. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
