The main character is a woman journalist working on a story.
Another woman is killed who looks exactly like her.
Sometime in the past, the woman journalist's dad mysteriously disappeared
when a bridge collapsed.
In the meantime, most of the story takes place in a genetics clinic and it
looks like there will be a link between the clinic and her father's death.
(Patron has not yet finished the book).
The patron believes the book was by a popular author within the last 10
years.
Thinks the setting is somewhere in the American Northeast.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
