Hope a Bradbury fan is out there listening! A friend is looking for a
short story by him. The facts we have: it only rains about once every 10
years and there is a little girl who has some kind of disease that needs
sunshine. May take place on Mars.

It sounds SO familiar from my high school reading, but of course that was
quite a while ago!

I believe the short story title is "And There Will Come Soft Rains" in the
Martian Chronicles.

Hello!

I am a big Bradbury fan and the story you mentioned is "All Summer In A Day."
It takes place on Venus where it rains for years, giving its inhabitants
only one day of sunlight. The main character remembers her days on Earth
when it was sunny all the time and becomes the target of her jealous
schoolmates. An excellent story from an excellent writer.

That Sounds like the story "The Day The Rains Came" from Ray Bradbury's
compilation "The Martian Chronicles"
