Subject: Patrons, don't you love them!
Had to share this...a patron just asked me for a "big book" when I asked
on what subject, she said it didn't matter, just a big book. I pressed
the issue a little and she finally said, "It doesn't matter, I want to use
it to press some fall leaves and I need a big, heavy book!"
I found a big book, also told her leaves dry more quickly if inclosed
in other paper before putting them in said big book and found her
directions for using other methods for drying leaves!
Then there is the lovely "little old lady" who brings me these bird
eggshells, interesting dead little bugs, etc...and wants me to help her
identify them. Actually, I look forward to her coming in, breaks up the
everyday "I need critical essays on 'To Kill a Mockingbird'"
Enough already, just wanted to share!
