The Larmouth title is a critical work on food themes in mysteries, I
believe, and not an anthology. The Greenberg title does indeed contain
Dahl's "Lamb to the Slaughter," but Greenberg is listed as second
editor on this (first named editor is Carol-Lynn Waugh). But "Lamb
to the Slaughter" also appears in the Haining anthology--see the
Mystery Short Fiction 1990-1999 site at

Or so the patron seems to think it is called...I have my doubts
since I have not been able to find this title anywhere. Any suggestions will

I believe the title you are looking for is called 'A Death in White Bear
Lake: the true chronicle of an All American town'. The author is Barry
Siegel and it was published by Bantam Books in 1990. It is about child
abuse and murder in Minnesota
