Also, Catherine Alpert's ROCKET CITY is a good road novel but I can't
rememer if her trip arose from a counter-cultural movement.

I am a masters student currently working on my thesis. I have written a
road
trip novel with a female protagonist to turn in as the creative portion of
my
thesis. For the research component of my thesis, I am trying to locate any
and all Post World War 2 American fictional road trip novels which feature
a
female protagonist and would be considered to have arisen out of
counter-cultural movements. Any help you could give me would be greatly
appreciated. I realize that this is a fiction group, but, am also trying
to
locate any and all reference sources which might also be of assistance,
including any web site or news groups anyone might be able to recommend.
Thank you in advance for all your assistance.
