Does anyone know if this ever happens in reverse order? A book's title is
changed when it is published abroad after first being released in the US? I
would be very grateful for any examples anyone can think of!

Golly, wonder what they did to the title of the second Austin Powers
movie..."The spy who shagged me"? :-)

I also have a memory of some of the Rex Stout Nero Wolfe mysteries appearing
under different names in England, but I couldn't begin to tell you which
ones. I just know when I was travelling in Europe, I kept picking up these
books in paperback in the libraries at the B&Bs which sounded new but turned
out to be stories I had read, with different names.
