Hi all, I had a patron in today who remembers reading a book a few years ago
that was a paperback with a picture of an angel on the front of the book.
The angel was actually the gravestone. There was a woman who lived near the
cemetery who was protected by this angel during a bad time. Does this sound
familiar to anyone? Thanks.

Just a guess...

Might it be A Gracious Plenty by Sherri Reynolds? That was a book about
a a disfigured woman who was the caretaker of a cemetery. In the book,
the protagonist seeks solace and friendship from ghosts of the
deceased. Great book, by the way!

There is a book titled STONE ANGEL by Carol O'Connell
that has an angel in a cemetary on the cover. It came out in
hardcover in 1997, paperback in 1998, so it may be too recent
to be the one your patron is thinking of. Thought I'd send the
title along just in case.

Sounds like the cover on "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil a Savannah

Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil has a picture on the cover of an
angel gravestone, but I don't remember if there is a woman who is
protected by the angel.
