I recently had one ask for "Alias Grocer" by Margaret Atwood.as well as "Frank's Ashes", being the sequel to Angela's Ashes.

I think I can top that one. I had a patron ask for Waterlogged instead
of
Million Dollar Mermaid by Esther Williams.

My local public radio station is currently in fundraising mode. One
thing they always do is a "college challenge" -- a contest to see which
college will have the most alumni calling in to subscribe. I nearly
laughed myself silly yesterday when the announcers included "Hogwarts
Academy in London" in their list of colleges -- and were entirely
serious! They seemed to have no idea they were being taken in!! I
guess it just goes to show that even smart people can be gullible
sometimes.

Okay, just a couple more of these... I had a teenager ask me if we had any
books by Jonathan Livingston Seagull...also had a library ask for a video
version of Hamlet and feel the need to note "by Shakespeare"...

Here's another one--last week I had a patron ask for The Tale of the Basset
Hound by Sherlock Holmes!!! (obvioulsy, they wanted Hound of the
Baskervilles by Arthur Conan Doyle)! We thought that was a good one.

Also, a long time ago I once had someone tell me they were looking for the
Complete Works of Shakespeare, but they didn't know who wrote it!! LOL!
