It's a good idea to check the website of the paperback publisher whenever you
are looking for a reading group guide. Also, you can try this wonderful site
as a starting point:

That site directs you to Simon & Schuster for the reading guide on Shipping
News:

www.simonsays.com

You should have a wonderful discussion on this book. Look for some
background information on the author because her life is really interesting.
Proulx (rhymes with "true") wrote an autobiographical sketch for Contemporary
Authors (vol.145) plus there have been several interviews with her in the
popular press, such as Time, 11/29/93 issue.
