Does anyone have the words for "A mongrel pup" by Nancy Byrd Turner?
Granger's has it in "Poems for a machine age" which we do not own. This is
for an older patron who remembers it from her childhood in the 1940's.

A Mongrel Pup


Here lies at rest, unknown to fame,
Of dark descent and doubtful name,
One Binks. Here lie his treasure, too-
A ball, a bone, a worried shoe.

Nay, stranger, shed no idle tears:
He loved one small lad all his years.
