This list is so helpful and I know if anyone can come up with this book title and
author for me, it will be you guys.
Thanks so much!

I read this many years ago, and reread it many times while in high school.
The title is House of Scorpio, written by Pat Wallace, and published by Avon
in 1975. I found a copy in a UBS about 10 years ago and found that the
writing didn't live up to my memory of it. I'd love to see this premise done
well.

I have tried for a long time to remember the name of a book I read several
years ago. It was a romance but relied on the twelve astrological "houses"
for characterization and plot. The characters were divided into the twelve
signs of the zodiac and each person's perfect match was their astological
counterpart across the wheel of the zodiac, i.e. Virgo with Pisces, Libra
with
Aries, etc. It was titled something like "House of Scorpius" or "House of
Scorpio" and was a fascinating book. I have not been able to find this book
again and probably the title is not even close to correct. Can't remember
the
author either. Does this sound familiar to anyone? It was almost like
science
fiction/fantasy but had mystery thrown in too as several murders were part
of the plot and, of course, the romance was the primary theme.

I remember this book, too. (Especially because Scorpio was my fatal
opposite!) As someone mentioned, it was House of Scorpio by Pat Wallace. But
I remember there being a set of six books in the series...one for each set
of fatal opposites. Can anyone name the rest of the books in the series? I
would love to read them again! Or even the name of the series, although I
don't think LC catalogued them that way...
Thanks!
Lisa

Don't know about astrological romances, but FWIW here's citation to an
old series of astrological gothics (1975 paperback originals from
Ballantine Books; the "Birthstone Gothic" series):
1 The ghost and the garnet / Ross, W. E. D. 1975
2 The amethyst tears / Ross, W. E. D. 1975
3 The carnelian cat / DeWeese, Jean. 1975
4 The moonstone spirit / DeWeese, Jean. 1975
5 The ghost and the garnet / Ross, Marilyn. 1975
6 Shadow over emerald castle / Ross, W. E. D. 1975
7 Stone of blood / Coulson, Juanit 1975
8 A gleam of sapphire / Tower, Diana. 1975
9 The opal legacy / Kent, Fortune. 1975
10 A topaz for my lady fair / Toombs, Jane. 1975
11 The turquoise talisman / Wagner, Sharon. 1975
(Don't know if rest were not published or if incomplete cataloging just means
that they do not show up in WorldCat...)
Followed in 1976 by another Ballantine series, simply named "Astrological
Gothics":
1 Inherit the mirage : an astrological goth... Thatcher, Julia 1976
2 Nightgleams : an astrological gothic nove... Thatcher, Julia 1976
3 Web of guilt : an astrological Gothic nov... DeWeese, Jean. 1976
4 Cave of the moaning wind : an astrologica... DeWeese, Jean. 1976
5 Drums of darkness : an astrological gothi... Bradley, Marion 1976
6 Twilight return : an astrological gothic ... Kimbro, Jean, 1976
7 Tempest at summer's end : an astrological... Thatcher, Julia 1976
8 Fear stalks the bayou : an astrological g... Coulson, Juanit 1976
9 Temple of darkness : an astrological Goth... Ross, Marilyn, 1976
10 The waiting eyes : an astrological gothic... Bond, Evelyn, 1976
11 Home to the night : an astrological gothi... Thatcher, Julia 1976
All of which I remember only because I know one of the authors (who has no
more use for astrology than I do, but a sale is a sale...).
