Can anyone help me identify this title? Could be a YA. Patron read it last
year - does not think it was very old. This is the patron's description:
It's about a white girl who has been adopted into an Australian aboriginal
tribe. When she sets off to find her people she meets a man in the desert
dying and she helps him get home and he and his sick wife (Elizabeth?)
turn her into an English lady. His wife dies and they fall in love etc.
Throughout the book she uses a "magic" word as a talisman, it is something
like
Mitijiiquin. The title has the word "Angel" and possibly "Gold" in it.
It is not "Angel of the Outback."Thanks so much for your help.

Could it be The Dreaming by Barbara Wood? About an English orphan who goes
to Australia in 1871 to find property left to her by her mother. There's a
subplot about an aboriginal girl but her name is Sarah.Valerie Maine
