2 Science Fiction stories

REC'D: 10/28/99, 1:42 PM
#1: Exploration of space by means of teleportation of robots that are
controlled by telepathy. A controller meets an alien who trades a peice of
his mind with the human. When the human/robot returns to the control
center he must run because he has been "contaminated". The words 'fish
hook' may be part of the story or title.
#2: Alien disease causes skin to become hard and joints to freeze; fatal.
The disease is not really fatal if treated properly. There is an
underground group that is treating the disease. Their locations are
identified by a wagon wheel with one spoke missing.
Any assistance with either of these is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
